Monthly special: Mondays- Fridays R2750pm (excluding public holidays)

Happy, healthy dogs need exercise, a nutritious diet and friends. Pet Whisperers provide a collection service where we collect your fur babies from your home and take them to an enclosed, safe park, where they will learn to walk on and off lead and follow in a pack, as well as socialise, play and learn from other dogs.

BENEFITS

Keep pets healthy

This one is a no-brainer. Exercise is good for us all. It provides many health benefits that include keeping your pets healthy, agile and limber.

Helps with weight control

An overweight pet is not a healthy pet. In addition to regulating its diet, to keep your pet in tip-top shape, you should be doing your best to provide regular exercise as well.

Helps the digestive system

Regular walks can be extremely beneficial to your pet’s digestive system, and they can aid in relieving constipation.

No more destructive behaviour

Regular walks, as well as other forms of exercise, can help reduce or eliminate any of your pet’s destructive chewing, digging or scratching. Pets are like children: If you are not giving them something constructive to do, you may not like what they choose to do.

No more hyperactivity

Walks can help to alleviate extra energy your pets may have, calming them down and reducing any hyperactivity, excitability and even night-time activity. A walk can help your pet to feel more relaxed and sleepy rather than restless at bedtime.

No more unruliness

Behaviours such as knocking over furniture or jumping on people can be a sign of pent up energy. Regular walks will help curb this.

No more attention-seeking behaviours

Barking and whining are just signs that your pets want some attention. Regular walks will help them stay healthy, as well as give them the attention that they are looking for.

Helps build trust

If you have a timid or fearful pet, regular walks can help your pet to build confidence and trust. You will likely be exposing your pet to other humans and animals alike, and with us there for comfort your pet can learn to be comfortable around them.

Mental wellbeing

Dogs were not made to sit around all day long and do nothing. They are intelligent animals with keen senses that would naturally be used for scavenging and in some cases hunting. By taking your dog out of his property on a daily basis you are giving him an opportunity to use his senses and to engage his mind.

Longevity

Because dogs that get regular exercise are fitter and healthier than those that don’t, they usually live longer. As joints weaken with age it is extremely important to keep muscles as strong as possible so that they can support the joints and enable the dog to continue to get around for as long as possible. Moderate daily exercise helps enormously in this regard.

Sheer enjoyment

Going for a walk makes dogs happy. The look of sheer delight on their faces when we arrive and their excitement on the walks is evidence of how much they enjoy them. When they return home afterwards there is the look of complete contentment on their faces as they flop down for a rest.
